FAQ

Do I need to do my hair and makeup?

Yes, please arrive with hair and makeup done.

If you would like a makeup artist, hair stylist, and/or stylist I can offer my recommendations.

Guide: clean, soft, 'natural'. The main goal is to even out skin tone, hide blemishes, and look professional.

For men: don't forget about facial hair! Arrive with any facial hair well-groomed.

What do I need to bring?

Touch up makeup (particularly powder for oily skin).
Different outfit options.
Accessories/jewellery.
Hairspray/gel/comb.

Do you offer skin retouching?

Yes, I offer skin retouching for an additional $20 per image.
This includes removing blemishes and evening out skin tones, while maintaining the real you.

What should I wear (actor/model)?

GOAL: Let your face and personality shine. The outfit should support, not distract.

1. Solid Colours
Stick to neutrals (black, white, grey, navy, beige) or muted tones.
Jewel tones (emerald, sapphire, ruby) also photograph well.

2. Fitted (But Not Tight) Clothes
Choose clothes that fit well on your shoulders and chest.
Avoid baggy or super tight items.

3. Layers (Optional)
A blazer, light jacket, or cardigan adds polish and structure.

4. Clean Necklines
For Women: Scoop, V-neck, crew neck – simple is best.
For Men: Button-up shirts, polos, or (thick) plain tees.

5. Textures Over Patterns
Choose subtle textures (knit, denim, linen) rather than loud patterns.
This adds visual interest without stealing focus.

WHAT TO AVOID:
Bright neon colours that reflect onto skin
Busy patterns
Too many different colours
Brands/logos
Shiny fabrics
Wrinkled or worn-out clothes

What should I wear (corporate)?

GOAL: Look professional, approachable, and like yourself on your best day.

COLOURS: Solid, neutral or jewel-tone colours look good.

FOR MEN:
Option 1 - Classic Business Look:
Button-up shirt (white, pale blue, or light grey).
Blazer (navy, charcoal, or black).
Tie (optional, but keep it simple — solid or subtle pattern).
Option 2 - Business Casual:
Collared shirt (no tie).
Sweater or sport coat over the shirt works well.

FOR WOMEN:
Option 1 - Classic Business Look:
Blouse or shell top in a solid colour.
Blazer or structured jacket (neutral or matching the top).
Keep necklines modest and clean (crew, V-neck, or boat neck).
Option 2 - Business Casual:
Knit top or sweater with nice tailoring.
Dress with simple lines and a professional fit.
Avoid anything sleeveless unless layered with a jacket.

If you have a uniform, ensure that it is ironed and stain-free.

WHAT TO AVOID:
Bright neon colours that reflect onto skin
Busy patterns
Too many different colours
Brands/logos
Shiny fabrics
Wrinkled or worn-out clothes
All-white tops (they can blow out in photos) unless under a blazer.
