FAQ

What is your style?

I like to combine documentary and editorial photography for a timeless gallery that highlights both raw emotion and styled elegance.

How do I book?

Head over to my contact form, fill out the details and send it off. I will get back to you as soon as possible with a quote and/or booking confirmation.

What happens on our wedding day?

Our journey will start with a form, and end with a gallery full of love, beauty, friends, laughter, and dancing!

First of all, we'll catch up at a cafe and chat all about your wedding. I want to know all the details so I don't miss any important moments, and I will ask you how you envision your day and your dream photos.

On your wedding day, I'll be a little like one of the bridesmaids. I'll make sure your hair looks good, your necklace/tie is centred, and most importantly, that you're having fun.

I'll arrive at your accommodation to capture the bride getting ready. We'll get photos of your hair and makeup process, your bridesmaids chatting and helping you get ready, detail photos of your dress/wedding rings/jewellery/perfume/shoes/vows/invites, group photos of you with your bridesmaids and family, and solo portraits of you all dressed up.

I'll then leave to prepare for the ceremony, where I will wait down the aisle to capture your entrance. You won't even notice I'm there while the two of you share this precious moment.

Post-ceremony we'll grab the important family photos, before heading off for the bridal party + couple photoshoot!

After the craziness of getting ready, getting married, greeting all the guests, this is a moment to relax and have fun with your closest friends.
Worried about posing and feeling awkward in front of the camera? Don't stress. By this time, we'll be besties and I'll make you feel at ease and guide you through a range of posing prompts.

And now... reception! I'll wait in the reception to capture your entrance. I'll take photos of all the guests, speeches, cake cutting, the first dance, the food, the decorations, the venue, and of course the dance floor!

*details change depending on your wedding and package.

Tips for 'getting ready' photos

1. Choose a space with good natural lighting to get ready. A big window is great!

2. Keep the space clean and tidy.

3. Don't get fully dressed before we arrive (we want to capture this!). For the groom that means shoes, jacket, corsage, cufflinks, cologne, tie... all off to begin with.
For the bride that means jewellery, shoes, perfume, veil, dress... all off to begin with, and hair and makeup in-process. Some cute custom wedding PJs/gowns never go amiss!

4. Organise your 'details' eg. rings, shoes, perfume/cologne, invitations, jewellery, vows, flowers etc.

5. Allow more time than you think for this. Especially if all your bridesmaids are having hair and makeup done as well. This is usually the part of the day that goes over schedule and causes stress - which isn't what you want right before your wedding!

Are you insured?

How many photos will I receive?

The number of photos depends on the pacing of your day, the number of guests, and how long I am booked for.
To give a rough idea, I usually shoot around 100 photos per hour.

I'm awkward in front of the camera, how do I pose?

I've got you! Most people feel this way at first, but as the day goes on they start to forget the camera is even there!

During the couple photoshoot I will guide you through a range of different prompts that don't even feel like you're posing. At the end of the day, as long you're happy and relaxed the photos will look great - so my goal is to create an environment that you feel most comfortable in.

Prompt examples (you'll start to notice these in my galleries now):
-Groom hug the bride from behind while the bride tries to escape.
-Bride and groom hold hands and walk like a drunk couple.
-Bride put arms around groom's neck and touch foreheads.
-Groom whisper a secret in the bride's ear.
-And plenty more!

Do you cover engagements?

Yes, and I also do engagement parties (packages are on my events page under 'Party Time')

Do you do video?

I don't officially do videography, though I'd like to gain some experience there. I did a film degree at university and love videography - but I can't yet record any professional audio, so I only offer cinematic highlight reels.

If you'd like professional wedding videography I can pass on some recommendations!
